Evil Penguin Classic is an independent boutique CD label for classical music with an international focus. Since 2012, the label has released several award-winning albums. With in-house expertise and experience, Evil Penguin leads the way in immersive audio, including award-winning Dolby Atmos releases.

As a small boutique label, Evil Penguin Classic remains focused on artistic quality and craftsmanship. Close collaboration with artists is central, with an open and personal approach that allows room for creativity, asking questions, and breaking through established norms: the impossible becomes possible.

The label upholds the highest standards, in every aspect of the process: with recording and mobile studios and state-of-the-art technology to repertoire selection  and the design of the artwork. Repertoire: let’s think wild. From Baroque to the first half of the 20th century. Well-known repertoire with room for the unknown, and a healthy dose of experimentation. There is also attention for talented, lesser-known artists who have yet to break through. From traditional performances to new approaches within historical performance practice.

 

The roster: Evil Penguin Classic works with a national and international group of artists, each of them examples of artistic excellence. We are happy to provide space for young, emerging talents, while established artists remain of great importance to us. Old or young, always with a focus on building long-term relationships.
