Juliane Noll, illustrations
Juliane Noll (1991) is an artist born in Berlin and currently living and working between Florida and Antwerp, Belgium.
Her graphic-arts background saw her doing editorial work for newspapers & magazines & brands like Vice, De Morgen, De Standaard, Klasse Magazine, Die Süddeutsche Zeitung, Patatas Vodka, Opera München,... among others. This year she released a graphic zine "Orchid Puppy" through Grafik in Schaerbeek and exhibited at the Grafixx festival in Antwerp. She also publishes work with rewarded Graphic Arts magazine "Aline" (NL).
In her contemporary art practice she explores media like painting, sculpture, ceramics and food through the lens of the female/other - examining her relationship with ecologies, literature, and myths of the places she encounters or inhabits. She is part of the editorial team behind the selfpublished artmagazine "Spoon" about food and its (ecological) signifigance in society and agriculture, through art.
In her painting she depicts fragmented moments in an intricate physicality, embodying vulnerable, pensive scenes. She has exhibited her artwork in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, The United States (at Abri Mars Gallery in NYC in Jan 2025) and ofcourse in Belgium: In 2025 she was part of "Shifting Scales", an all female exhibition during Antwerp Art Weekend. She also exhibited at "The Wunderwall" at Sofie Vandevelde in 2021, at Gallerijke Marijke in 2024, and is in shows in Plus One Gallery, like "After Painting After Painting" in Oct 2025.
She regularly is part of art residencies and organises events and exhibitions in Antwerp, like the exhibition "Korte Metten" about Beguinages and Feminism in 2024, the theatre piece "The Holiday Slideshow (Elias Canetti)" in 2018, or exhibitions with "Ideaal", a collective building bridges between graphic and fine arts.
